A tiny puppy was found shivering in a KFC bathroom. He was very emaciated and scared. A rescue group took him home and gave him food and love.
The rescue team called Stray Rescue of St. Louis. They gave the puppy a warm blanket and a safe place to eat. Each day the puppy learned to navigate the stairs in his new house. He grew stronger and began to strengthen his muscles. The staff took him on short car rides. At first he was terrified, but after many trips he felt safe. The puppy soon stopped shaking and started to play. He became a happy member of the family. Later another husky puppy was rescued from a shelter. Monica helped the husky feel the joy of an adventure outside. The husky also learned to trust people and later went to his forever home in Finland. Both dogs show how rehabilitation can change a life.
Now the first puppy lives with a caring family and enjoys every day. The story reminds us that a small act of rescue can give a pet a second chance.
