New Moon

Our moon is not very interesting. We want a new one. A good choice could be Amalthea. It is a satellite that orbits around Jupiter. Amalthea is very red and can be seen from Earth. But it is very small and not dense. If we took Amalthea, we would not have tides anymore.

Another option is Titan. It is bigger than our moon and has a lot of atmosphere. The atmosphere is made of methane and it rains on Titan. Some scientists think there could be microbes living in the lakes on Titan. These microbes could breathe in hydrogen and exhale methane. If we took Titan, we would have bigger tides, but it would be worth it to have alien neighbors.

Maybe our moon is perfect just the way it is. It helps keep us stable and stops us from having ice ages. We should be happy with our moon and not try to replace it. It is doing a very important job and we need it to survive.
