Tenzin Lodoe Rabgye, a young Tibetan, self-immolated in a desperate bid for freedom. His family and friends are demanding justice and an investigation into the Chinese government's rule in Tibet.
The Chinese government has ruled Tibet for 67 years, imposing harsh conditions that have led to over 170 Tibetans resorting to self-immolation. The Ethnic Unity and Progress Law, enacted on July 1st, legalizes assimilation policies, including separating Tibetan children from their families and forcing Tibetan nomads to abandon their way of life.
The United Nations must take action and investigate the situation in Tibet. We need to break the silence and give Tibet a voice.
