Summer Plans and Activities

Welcome to Real Easy English. Today, we're discussing summer plans. It's currently summer in the UK, a time when people are often busy. Georgie is going on holiday tomorrow, attending a hen party, a traditional celebration before a wedding. In the UK, it's common to have a stag party for men or a hen party for women, while in the US, it's referred to as a bachelor party.

Georgie and her friends are planning a weekend away with many friends, which will include a party and possibly a trip to the beach. Neil, on the other hand, won't be going away but will instead take his kids on some day trips. He'll also be mowing the lawn and tending to his garden. Georgie wants to clean her roof terrace and purchase some outdoor furniture, and she's also looking forward to having a barbecue and doing some DIY projects. Neil enjoys barbecuing in the summer and appreciates the long, light evenings. Georgie likes to go on picnics with friends, eating in the park and enjoying each other's company. They'll also play some music and have a great time. In addition to these activities, people often enjoy grilling fish on the barbecue or having a picnic in the park. The summer season offers many opportunities for outdoor activities and socializing with friends.

In the summer, people often take advantage of the warm weather to engage in outdoor activities, such as barbecuing, picnicking, or simply spending time in the garden or park. The long, light evenings also make it an ideal time for socializing and enjoying the company of friends and family. Whether it's a weekend away or a simple day trip, summer is a great time to create lasting memories and have fun. So, let's make the most of the summer season and enjoy the many activities it has to offer. Don't forget to mow the lawn and tend to your garden, and consider having a barbecue or going on a picnic with your friends.
