Meet Barsik, a big, funny bear who loves to play. But behind his happy face, Barsik had a very tough life. He spent 7 years in a tiny cage, being used for the bear bile industry. Luckily, he was rescued in 2022 by Animals Asia, an organization that has been helping bears for over 10 years.
When Barsik arrived at the sanctuary, he was nervous and scared. But it didn't take him long to start showing his true personality. He was curious about everything and loved to play. The rescuers said that Barsik was always getting into mischief and making new friends. He even loved to feel the grass beneath his feet, something he had never experienced before.
Barsik's story is a reminder that it's never too late to give a rescue animal a second chance. There are still over 150 bears in captivity, waiting to be rescued.
