Dr. Mark Carey wrote an article about the World Cup groups. He used FIFA's world rankings to find the strongest and weakest groups. There are 12 groups in total, and we want to know which ones are the most and least competitive.
Groups I and L are the strongest. They have many good teams, including France, Senegal, Norway, and Iraq. France is the favorite, but Norway is very strong too. They have a good player named Martin Ødegaard and a strong player named Erling Haaland.
On the other hand, Group B is the weakest. It has Switzerland, Qatar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Canada. The Swiss are likely to be the favorites, but Bosnia and Herzegovina did well in their qualifying group.
